  • Bottom Line – Acer Aspire E5-575G-53VG Review

The Acer Aspire E5-575G-53VG is a mid-range laptop with excellent performance and features at an affordable price. It is powered by an Intel Core i5-7200U processor, 8 G.B. of RAM, and a 256GB solid-state drive. It also has a 15.6-inch Full HD display, making it ideal for multimedia tasks.

In this review, we’ll look at its design, specs, performance, and more to help you decide if it’s the right laptop.

Design

The Aspire E5-575G is attractive but quiet. The black chassis has a subtle thatched pattern with a surface that is somewhere between matte and shiny. This means that it appears rather plain. It’s the kind of device that heavy-duty users want. Because the entire system is constructed of plastic, do not expect glistening metallic accents or designs. It weighs 5.27 pounds. Aspire E5 weighs 5.27 pounds, a little larger than other models, such as the H.P. Notebook 15 or the F555UA by Asus, which weighs 4.8 pounds.

The dimensions are also precisely what you’d expect from laptops with a screen of 15 inches: 15.0 x 10.2 x 1.2 inches. To give you an idea, the two competitors mentioned above are less than two-tenths of an inch in all measurements.

Ports

The Aspire E5-575G-53VG is a straightforward machine with ports. On the side of the device are three standard USB ports, one USB Type-C connector, an HDMI port, and an Ethernet port.

An SD card reader in the front and a rewritable DVD drive on the right make up the rest of the options. My only issue is that two USB ports are very close, making it difficult to connect more dongles if the devices are smaller than usual.

Display

The E5’s 15.6-inch screen has a decent 1080p resolution. However, despite highly high synthetic test results, the screen has a low output and poor quality of color.

The screen appears dull, with just 195 units of brightness. Considering that the average for this category is 250 and that competitors such as Notebook 15 (220) and F555UA (223) are brighter, the E5’s screen is a disappointment in the video. I went through an episode from Star Trek: The Next Generation and was dissatisfied with the dull yellows and reds of the character’s uniforms and the general gray hue of the entire ship. It was as if the Aspire E5 made the usually appealing Enterprise-D appear to be the most boring vessel in Starfleet.

Similar to the Aspire E5, its gamut number translates into little precision. The machine has an error score of 3.26 which is a bit low, while less than zero is the best. It’s fair to say that it is better than the 4.44 category average and the 3.5 rating of the Notebook 15; however, it is far behind the 2.3 rating of the F555UA.

Audio

If you shell out only a few hundred dollars to purchase the Aspire E5-575G-53VG, then keep your pocket open to buy a great pair of headphones that go with it. The sound quality is decent.

The speakers can make relatively loud sounds, at the very least. A wide range of tunes that included “Salty Dog” by Flogging Molly, “N.I.B.” from Black Sabbath and a selection of choral works that are from G.F. Handel’s “Messiah.” The music was apparent throughout the test lab; however, blasting them at high volume resulted in slight distortion.

Keyboard and Touchpad

The impressively sized 4.1 by 3.0-inch touchscreen on the Aspire Aspire E5-575G-53VG looks inviting enough. However, looks are only sometimes as they seem. If you touch this keyboard, you will discover that it’s incredibly brittle and spongy. Moving the cursor around the desktop takes an eternity, and clicking feels superficial. The F555UA is comparable, whereas the Notebook 15 is a bit more shallow. Notebook 15 is much more external. However, these numbers are only sometimes accurate because typing on this laptop was highly uncomfortable.

Performance

The Aspire E5-575G 53VG is equipped with an Intel Core i5-6200U processor with dual-core performance and 8 G.B. of RAM and a large S.S.D. hard drive that isAlthough it’s far from one of the fastest laptops on the market, it can handle everything from basic typing to mid range gaming without issue. In terms of power, the Aspire E5 scored 5,663 on the Geekbench 3 test, which examines the overall performance of a machine. Its counterpart, the H.P. Notebook 15 (5,784), cut just a bit higher than F555UA (6,933), and F555UA (6,933) trounced the Aspire E5. In the case of the latter, this is not surprising because the F555UA is equipped with the Intel Core i7 processor; however, its CPU has a similar design to the one in the Aspire E5.

Graphics

A single of Aspire E5-575G-53VG’s greatest attributes can be found in its Nvidia 940MX discrete graphics card. With 2 G.B. of memory, this card isn’t the most advanced and cutting-edge model available from Nvidia; however, it can transform an average work machine into a decent gaming device. If you intend to play gaming with the Aspire E5, its discrete graphics card has an enormous advantage. Both the Notebook and the F555UA have one. In this regard, it is no surprise that the Aspire E5 scored 76,982 on the 3DMark Ice Storm Unlimited test, and other models like the H.P. and Asus models scored 51.066 and 66.786 and 66,786, respectively.

Battery Life

The Aspire E5-575G-53VG is among the 15-inch laptops with the longest running time we’ve evaluated this year, especially at a lower price. In our Laptop Mag Battery Test, which tests web browsing over Wi-Fi, the laptop ran for nine hours and forty-three mins; that’s more than the typical workday and all but the most lengthy flights to other countries. This notebook is the H.P. Notebook 15, and the F555UA did not fare as well in terms of 5:51 and 539 and 5:39, respectively.

Heat

The touchpad and keyboard do not get scorching (88 or 94.5 degrees Fahrenheit in individual cases); however, the bottom of the Aspire E5-575G-53VG could reach a boiling temperature of 105 degrees, as it was the case when I streamed Hulu video for fifteen minutes. Laptops typically become uncomfortable at the 95-degree mark, which might make working at the desk quite painful. The temperature isn’t high enough to cause a severe burn in your numb areas, but you’ll be unable to keep it on your lap for a long time.

Webcam

The Aspire  Aspire E5-575G-53VG’s webcam is, in two simple words, perfect. Images taken in the brightly lit area were blurry and fuzzy. They were also insensitive to light. Although the colours appeared to be pretty exact, I wouldn’t suggest using this camera for anything other than informal Skype chats.

Optional Configuration

The Acer Aspire Aspire E5-575G-53VG series encompasses a wide range of more than 40 laptops. The model we tested was an E5-575G 53VG that includes an Intel Core i5 2.3 GHz processor, the GeForce 940MX graphics card, 8GB RAM, and a 255GB S.S.D. priced at $550. There were four different models in the 575G range, priced between $500 and $700. The most inexpensive model, the E5-575G-52RJwas precisely the same except for the 1 T.B. standard hard drive instead of a 256GB S.S.D. Its most costly model, the E5-575G 76YK, included an Intel Core I7 2.5 GHz processor; however, it was the same as the model we tested. There’s a wide range of options available for configurations. If theAcer Aspire E5-575G-53VG Review is on your wish list, your best option is to look up the official website.

Software as well as a Warranty

The Aspire E5-575G-53VG isn’t equipped with a large selection of preinstalled software, which is a positive thing. The handful of Acer applications aren’t beneficial, but. Auto Backup does what it is supposed to, and Updater will allow you to update each Windows 10 and Acer software.

Bottom Line – Acer Aspire E5-575G-53VG Review

In addition to its uncomfortably shaped keyboard and touchpad and touchpad, the Aspire E5-575G-53VG is a stylish laptop for the money. It is bright, can last for a long time on a single charge and is a good choice for productivity and moderate gaming.

Compared to other notebooks with similar values, the H.P. Notebook 15 offers an elegant design. Still, it lacks performance, and the Asus F555UA comes with an improved Core i7 processor but has a lower-res 1366 x 768-pixel display. Overall this model Aspire E5-575G is a solid device that delivers a bit more than I was expecting, and it’s good enough to warrant the status of a recommendation.
